Medium-grained granite gneiss with quartz leads. Dimensions of the stone: 3,1 x 1,3 x 1,4 m, circumference 5,80 m. Rip on its southern side. No carvings. Around 80% of its surface is covered by moss.
Once there have been many legends about the Veju Stone (the Wind Stone), but now they are mostly forgotten. According to legends valuables and money were hidden underneath it. During the Swedish era nine barrels with gold had been buried, but these are guarded by a dragon. Tiny light points are seen at night around the stone. According to another legend the stone has been rolled onto buried gold, which is guarded by a black dog or elsewhere – by a black swine. One can get the riches by digging all day and all night with no interruptions, but if one stops digging during the night, the work done during the day will be found covered up again. It is said a man had went for the gold, but was found hung in a tree.
Pits left by gold-diggers are found at the stone.
