A tale stone, associated with the Devil’s activities. Another stone is related to this stone — the Devil’s Shaft (Velna dīsele). It is scenerically remarkable, peculiar — located in a high swamp, visually it resembles a huge bed with a bolster. On the stone there are ancient sign carvings, possibly, boundary marks. The dimensions of the stone: length of 5.5 m, width of 2.7 m, height of 1.1 m. It is a secular stone of local significance, cultural historical stone. Nearby objects: Devil’s Shaft.
“The Devil was driving from the Kundziņi to the Vecmangas. Halfway the carriage sank into the swamp. Then the Devil got out of the carriage and tried to pull it out. At that moment the Takurandi rooster crowed. The horses were startled and plunged so hard that a shaft broke falling down at the Vecmangas homestead while it is still there.” (G. Eniņš.
