Local archaeological heritage (State Inspection for Heritage Protection, No 154). Nearby is the Vizikoki Eye Spring, Ozoli Oak, Laimiņi Oak and Linden.
Narrative
No recorded folklore materials have been found. The local people cannot tell anything about the site.
There used to be an ancient burial ground. During the Soviet Times there were excavation works performed but they found only a couple of crania. The ancient burial ground was situated on the low land by the Medņupīte River at the foot of the Medņu Jānis’ Hill. Vilnis has never heard anything about Medņu Jānis (the grandmother has not told him anything about it as well).
