A remarkable nature monument. The size of the great stone is: volume of 35 cubic meters, circumference of 17 meters, and height of 3 meters. A very picturesque stone of an arm-chair form in the fir-tree forest. One of the most interesting great stones of the Ventspils surroundings.
Narrative
Basing on the name and a very short narration in terms of content, it is presumed that this used to be, probably, an ancient cult site. According to a tale, the Devil was sitting on the stone thus creating its form. Looking at the picturesque and a peculiar, in terms of its form, great stone, of course, one could imagine how the rather large in size Devil could have sat on it and made the cavity of a chair form.
