God’s Garden is a place in the Iecava valley, where there is a non built-up area of 50 x 100 m. In 1812 the Prussian and Russian soldiers were buried in the field. Still the name of the place is often related to an ancient cult site; no evidence has been found.
According to a legend the first Iecava church should have been built in this place, but the logs were located on the other bank of the river, in the place of the current church.
On the banks of the River Iecava, downwards of the God’s Garden, minor dolomite outcrops are found. In some places tiny springs with limy water on the banks are found. The God’s garden is located on old burial ground.
