The Rūju Holy Linden has been known since the turn of the 19th-20th century. In former times, the Linden had at least six large trunks which had gradually disappeared one after another. The last trunk broke before nearly a year, now it has been sawn and placed by the Linden site. In 1994, its circumference was 2.65 m, the height of the Linden’s crown’s narrow part was 25 m. Nowadays around the Linden, several new offsprings have appeared; there are new bushes growing around too. The Linden site is located about 100 m S of the Rūju homestead, at the edge of the homestead’s kitchen garden. It seems that in archaeologiocal terms, no changes have occurred to the Rūju Holy Linden.
The object is of interest only to specialists.
