An ancient cult site typical to many other hill forts of Kurzeme, there too it is located in direct proximity to the hill fort. It is about 4 m high and 20 x 40 m large hill overgrown with scarce deciduous trees. The slopes of the hill had been dug up with old gravel pits, since the beginning of the 20th century or even earlier a large number of stones collected from the nearby fields have been heaped into them. In none of those stones did scholars find any traces of cult stones.
According to archaeological excavations performed under the leadership of E. Šturms in 1937, in the hill ten sacrificial pits of the 11th–14th centuries were found. Judging by the artefacts, they are attributed to the Kurši. Such cult hills with sacrificial pits are little known, and their deeper study is still a future task.
The nearby hill fort had been badly demolished in the Soviet Times — in 1987.
